EUROPE'S BIGGEST CONGRESS CENTRE IN MILAN
A seating capacity of 18,000, an auditorium for 1,500, an assembly hall offering a total of 4,500 places and 73 modular rooms with capacity ranging from 20 to 2,000, all supported by 54,000 square metres of exhibition space, €50 million invested by Fondazione Fiera Milano: these are the numbers for MIC Plus, the new Milan Convention Centre in the heart of the city at fieramilanocity, which from 2011 will give Italy the biggest congress hub in Europe.
THE “DESTINATION MILAN” SYSTEM
Fiera Milano Congressi, in conjunction with hotels offering business facilities, has come up since march 2009 with Destination Milan, a project aimed at promoting Milan as a conference destination optimising all its areas of potential. A brand that “brings together” one of the Europe’s leading conference organisers - Fiera Milano Congressi, a company belonging to the Fiera Milano Spa group created in 1994 to manage convention centres - and 20 hotels equipped with conference venues.
